I (probably) know what all these notifications are from. I made a comment on the article about the police officer pepper spraying the bikers.

Today though... I’m just going to take the high road. I do not possess the willpower to battle someone with negative views. Sure hope there is dismiss buttons on replies.

Even if it isn’t, it looks damn close. I need to go there. I wish it wasn’t so far from me. I’d take the family there this summer. We’ve been trying to plan a summer vacation. This would have been perfect.

The crazy thing about the high Rockies, High Sierra, etc, is that you usually only have 2, maybe 3 months where you can go everywhere safely. The snow starts early and melts late, and often closes the roads (or just makes it hard and uncomfortable to spend much time at high elevations). And, of course, all the rest of America and half the world knows this, too. I hate crowds.

There were a few very angry commenters going on about cops in general. Blaming their ‘brothers’ for being as bad as him for not acting on this. There were a few other bad ones too, but I will not bring them to light because they don’t deserve that type of attention.

I discovered that two years ago when I was going to go when I considered it fall. Nope.. snow fall already began out there haha.

Finding that sweet spot would definitely be the challenge. With a newborn that challenge is amplified. It’ll probably have to sit on the back burner for a few years. I’m thinking about exploring Tennessee with the family or Virginia or somewhere in the Appalachian. Not sure yet where.
